What do you think the chances are that trump will take his current health issue as a learning moment?
Ok, trump has Covid-19. This could be used by him as a learning moment. But do we actually think trump is capable or willing to learn? That is the question that I will suggest we might think about.
Now, the latest is that they have apparently given trump a steroid that is only normally given to someone that is very very sick. If trump has a mild case, the only reason he would likely get this medicine is if they are breaking the normal protocol just because of the power he wields. But it might also be because he is sicker than they are suggesting.
Either way, trump could finally learn something about his horrible attitude regarding this pandemic. You know all the people that he made fun of, including reporters and Biden, for wearing masks and trying not only to stay safe themselves but not giving it to others? Well, now he might just look at that attitude in a new light and realized that they were right all along.
Social distancing and mask-wearing are lifesavers, especially for the elderly, which, whether he wants to acknowledge it or not, he is!!! We will have to wait and see how he comes out of this.
If he has a fairly bad case of it, as seen by his getting the steroid, he might come out of this thing with a new respect for not only the virus but the safety precautions people have been taking. Sadly, if he has a mild case, and comes out without suffering very much, he will stay as willful unconcerned as he has been and refuse to acknowledge that precautions needed to be taken.
Time will tell. The bottom-line question is, whether trump is CAPABLE of seeing that he is wrong and admitting the same. It takes a big man to do so, and we know trump is not exactly the definition of a “big man”. In fact, he normally acts like a 5-year-old being denied an extra piece of candy on the playground.
I would love to be proven wrong, but I suspect he will continue to take the same carefree attitude of laughing at people who have the sense to take precautions against this virus….especially if with his extra good health care that he will get because of his money and power, he suffers very little.
