Welcome to the Fascist States of America, all ye with more hate than faith
Yeah, I have thawed from my “freezing grief” of Tuesday election. And I no longer are willing to stay silence as I watch this country in the place of acceptance of a Felon with dreams of being dictator given cover by the racists and homophobes, and transphobic in the country aided and abided by so-called Christians who apparently haven’t read the Bible, and if they have decided that authoritarian nihilism is better than freedom and a decent, good for everybody, country.
Now, there are some that say that the Democrats caused this disaster and in some sense there were mistakes make. Perhaps some more thought would have told Kamala that cosying up to right wingers like Cheney was not a winning strategy when it is well known that the only thing Cheney did was stand against the malignant personality of trump. However much I appreciate Liz Cheney’s disdain for trump, I wouldn’t ever vote for her because bottom line she is a Republican which means she is of the party of the rich and powerful.
There was not appeals to the right groups, like the Palestian Americans who see the selling of arms to the Israeli government as a betrayal of human rights. Whatever one thinks about the “Jewish State” rather than the Jewish people, the work was put in to convince many that they were the same. I stand firmly for the rights of the Jewish PEOPLE to have equal rights with everybody else. I do NOT stand with the right wing Jewish State to destroy a whole culture and people. Those killed by the Palestinians on Oct 7, 2023 do not, at least in my mind, justify the killing now going go of 15,000 children and babies. Nor does it equal the bombing and destruction of not ony Gaza but large parts of Lebanan as well.
Going back in history, what have the Palestinians had to put up with before Oct 7, 2023? Well, what about more and more people on the West Bank having their land stolen by the Jewish settlers who, with encouragement from the Israeli State who kept waging constant war for more and more land forcing all Palestians to live on less and less of their long time homeland. The Palestinians lived in the area for the last 3,000 years along and many of the people living there were Muslim, Jews and Christians. Then in 1948, Europe decided, after the Holocaust in Germany triggered the creation of a Jewish state in the Middle East, a bunch of Europian Jewish were deported from the various nations of Eupore where they were settled on land already inhabited. From the viewpoint of the existing population, that was an invasion, just like some Native Americans see the “invasion” of the white man and the subsequent mistreatment at their hands as being part of a larger but less recent invasion.
The Palestians in the United States didn’t vote for Harris because of that fact alone…the fact that genocide was not only condoned but enhanced by the government of these United States for the last year plus. I don’t blame them for not voting for Hit….er trump because they were wise enough, for the most part, to know that trump would be worse even than Biden had been on this particular issue. He will likely activily encourage more killing….anything to make himself appear strong when he is nothing but a Fascist Bully. I still voted for Kamala and would again today if we had to go though it all again, because I would then have done everything in my power to get her to change that policy and insist on a peace that allows both sides, the original long standing inhabitants AND the newly planted immigrants to Israel from around the world.
Then we have the active anti-American people group..people like Elon Musk and Murdock who like the idea of total control from the top including domination and suppression of the ordinary citizen. That includes the authoritarian Federalist Society who is at least honest about their dictatorial tendencies including their contempt for the “riff raff” including 80–90 percent af the American public.
Finally, there are the poor diluted folks who actually think that trump will do ANYTHING to help them. He won’t, I can almost be certain of that now, even before the man has ascended to the Oval Office. What do I say and think that? Because he was in for four years from 2017–2021 and did NOTHING for the average citizen, absolutely nothing. Oh, he gave the middle class and the poor a tax “break” for something like five years, ready to run out in 2025, but gave the rich and power a HUGE tax break that was lauded as permanent. The rich don’t even “trickle” their money down to the workers. What they do instead is try to lay off as many as possible using automation and other means they can. Greed is the motivating function of “American capitalism” and the workers need not apply. Instead the Fasc…err Republicans give the rich and powerful almost limitless tax breaks and threaten Social Security and Medicare in order to pay for the gap in meeting the budget.
So, trump has:
- come for the Hispanics
- come for the Muslims
- come for the reporters
- is now threatening to come for all democrats
- is coming for the trans community
Next will likely be added other “hated groups” whenever there is any flag in his cults ravid unreasoning loyalty…because personal loyalty to himself is his only “strongly held value”. It certainly isn’t the nation or the American principles by which the Constitution was set up. Unfortunately, the founders yielded to the slave holders by asserted by only property owners could vote rather than everybody that was a citizen and therefore subject to the policies and then to make it worse gave the slave holder states extra power by allowing them to count 3/5 of a person for every slave, a slave thta was never allowed a vote but fell to the will of the slave-owner. That compromise still has impact on the government even today 200 plus years later, to our great sorrow and grief. But lets imagine who the next “hated group will be for a minute.
- the gay and lesbian parts of the rainbow
- more articlately and focused hatred of Black Americans
- just anybody that does act like a MAGA cult and bow and crawl to kiss the orange ones feet
- criticize him in any way.
Well, trump hasn’t ascended to the throne yet so maybe I am safe…for a while anyway. Oh and those of you that voted for this….thanks, and don’t whine to me if “he turns on you”…what were you thinking that the lion wouldn’t eat YOUR face if you bowed enough?
And to illustrate what I think of so-called Christians who voted for this bully for President, here is a bit of humor that also speaks truth. In fact, I don’t encourage you MAGA folk to even try to impress me by calling yourself a christian. I may just laugh hysterically in your face. Chuckle but know in your heart it is true, true true.
