The trump International in NYC — a great billowing smoke-cloud indicating trump corruption
I have often said that where there is smoke, there is likely fire. Well, i think that is a truism and applies to the trump scandals. There are simply too many smoke signals going up around both his campaign and his election to more than indicate that he was getting help from the Russians.
Now the only question i have is when did trump know it, or was he REALLY in the dark? If so, he has to be one of the most gullible men in history. I don’t think so. I think he knew and participated all along. The man does have connections with mobsters…that has been pretty much established. They helped him often in getting his buildings up and running.
House of trump, House of Putin is filled with information about the dirty deals of the Russian Mafia. In the 1970s we had a slew of them coming over, many Jewish or claiming to be Jewish, and they were involved with Fred Trumps Brighton Beach apartments. These were far from the glamour that the Donald tries to display, but none the less were avenues of much money.
Then in the 1990’s, with the Soviet Breakup, those with money, primarily criminals by the way, were looking to expand into more high scale operations at the same thing that the Donald was needing help.
Craig Unger, consistently, gives the option that trump might just be a “useful idiot” but never the less insists that he was, in fact, getting money from the Russian mobsters that were investing in the United States. Their benefit was laundering the money, They did this while continuing to profit from illegal actions like prostitution, robbery etc. In the meantime, people who opposed them had a funny way of coming up dead.
Several of his towers were as much as 1/3 bought by Russians. **Don Jr has been quoted as saying that their business got more money from Russians than any other group. This is something that Sr tries to deny or hopes, at least, that we forget.
But the one thing that is probably the biggest smoke column of all is the ****Trump International in SoHo in NYC. By this time, trump had moved to being a name. Other people did the construction but he got about 18 percent for letting them use his name. Apparently in some people’s minds, trump was a label bespeaking luxury. (to me it is a name bespeaking snake oil fakery, but then we all see things differently)
The International was build by ***Bayview Group LLC and the Sapir Organization. Both of them are owned by a pair of wealthy Russian emigres who were also in business with some of the most notorious and wealthy of the Russian Oligarchs. And an Oligarch in Russia is most likely involved in shadowy dealings. They are people who took advantage of the selling of government property/utilities to make huge profits by skimming off the top. In other words, most, if not all, of them are also connected to Putin and the kleptocracy that has been formed in Russia under his reign.
To put it more bluntly, they are “the mob”. Which means that trump is taking 18 percent of the proceeds from a building owned by Russian mobsters. Now does that still sound like he is innocent of being beholden to the Russians??
Oh, and also announced today, New York’s Southern District has opened up another investigation. This is on the campaign. They are investigating what exactly people at his party announcing his intention to run got out of the deal…including photo ops.This has the potential to be even more damaging because trump can’t pardon anybody convinced of a State crime.

- ****sorry, the International and Soho are two different things..I misread. The Soho is one hotel, but the International was projected to be more than one and Bayrock was involved in that also.
