The Rot in America Caused by the Previous Administration’s Mad Attempt at Retaining Power, Called out by Sane Republicans
This is my opinion, but as always, it is backed up by documentation of reasonable reliability from decent media that has a history of reporting on a factual basis. One might call it an informed opinion. What it is not based on are conspiracy theories and wild QANON-type insanity. What you will not find here is references to wild lizard people in a plot with half the planet, all a secret from most of us. (chuckle)
We, in this country, are dealing with a two-pronged threat to our once-great nation. We are facing increased hacking attempts from Russia, with the latest being a try to infiltrate our email system with human rights agencies getting fake emails via Microsoft. Many of those emails went to human rights organizations and even media critical of Putin himself. It is this writer's opinion that this effort is a continuation of previous attempts and actual infiltrations going all way back to 2015 and the election that put trump in the White House. For obvious reasons, the previous administration didn’t make that a priority and now they have gotten bolder and our entire infrastructure is in danger.
Now, of course, Biden is the one that is going to have to clean up this mess, which is why I am delighted that he has already announced that he is firmly on the side of Europe in the upcoming summit. It is time that the United States gets back to supporting our friends and calling out our enemies. That doesn’t mean that I want war but does mean that I want us to be more secure from their attempts to subjugate our nation and sow conflict with their lies. In Biden, we have a President that is on our side, instead of our enemies, especially those with brutal dictatorships, like the ones that trump constantly defended and palled up to.
At the same time, David Brooks, writing on the opinion page of the New York Times points out that 77 percent of trump’s supporters believe that Biden won by cheating. That is approximately the same percentage that also believes that Climate Change is not real even as our weather is weirder and weirder every year, with more dangerous storms in the unlikely of places. I believe he is correct on that analysis, and even more so when he points out the fact that so many get their “information” from online propaganda sources rather than serious journalism. They fall into the rabbit hole of wild conspiracy theories and refuse to listen to anything that contradicts that fake narrative. We have such sites as AmericanThinker, Beforeitisnews, Ramble, and many others to see as an example of this great rot where hatred of “the other” or “the system” combined with misinformation, sometimes crazy batcrap made-up stuff is accepted without question.
We are now getting even more coming out about the extremes that the former administration went in their attempt to keep power and discredit the decision of the people of this country. We knew about the phone call that was made from the White House to Georgia to try and “convince” them to find 11,000 votes, but now it turns out that Mark Matthews, working for trump, went to Georgia to “watch the count.” In addition, he kept pressuring the Justice Department to investigate conspiracy theories without evidence that he claimed were showing that Biden cheated.
This brings us to the clincher. Matthew Dowd, a Republican who worked with the campaign of George W Bush Who would have thought that we would one day think of that administration as the Good Old Days? He has joined the Country over Party movement because of the Republican sell-out to the cult image of trump, and speaks to the insanity of the current Republican party and its basis in racism and xenophobia. The fact is that Whites are on the decline in this country, he quotes the statistic that only 25 percent of the country is white heterosexual males and yet are still trying to hang on to all the power. There is plenty of evidence to support that if you just listen to what they are saying and doing.
Finally, The Palmer Report goes even further and indicates that Dowd has said that the Democratic Party is the only salvation for this country. Now, I agree totally with that analysis, but also realize that the Palmer Report is not one of the old long-standing media sources that I tend to stick to in my analysis, so I will not give it the same weight, other than to say that if follows on all the other information in creating a pretty convincing body on which to make an educated decision.
