The Absolute Insanity of the Right complaining about “activist judges”.
Just like with the claim of being the party of “family values” and many other lies of the right, this complaint is nothing but a smokescreen to cover their own actions. Like trump, deflection and finger pointing is the only thing they have.
I will say that with marriage equality and other such rulings, we were getting closer to equality and living in the spirit of the Constitution until a few years ago. At that point, all the hate groups got together and elected a populist con artist who gave cover all their discrimination in places like Charlottesville and others. In fact, he fueled the hatred and told people that not only were they “true Americans” they were the only true Americans. Anybody who disagreed, especially the media, was the enemy of the people.
Of course, we managed to replace this monster with Biden, who really seems to believe in equality for all, and for fairness and freedom for all. However, sadly, we still have one party that is determined to destroy everything about this country that is in line with the Constitution. The so-called Republican Party, which is no longer anything but the Trumpian cult, is trying to destroy many of our feelings of safety and being part of the nation that many of us were raised in.
Activist RIGHT-WING judges are trying to dismantle the social network in regards to the right of all citizens to vote by creating obstacles for those in poorer neighborhoods. This has happened in Florida and Texas and possibly other states as well. The right guaranteed by Roe Vs Wade is another target for the right-wing bigots who want to know everybody live by their beliefs instead of having the freedom to choice guaranteed by the Constitution. They are also going to go after the LGBTQ communities if their plans are allowed to continue unabated. Please note: we do not have hordes of people trying to force others to get abortions.
Finally, we have actual criminal activity approved by some of those Judges, even one on the Supreme Court. Clarence Thomas, previously known as the sexual harasser of Anita Hill before his confirmation, is married to a woman who was actively involved in the planning of an actual insurrection and what, on the street, would be called treason against the elected government of the United States by a sizable crowd of that party of trump that was also encouraging discrimination and abuse for so many.
In addition, another activist Judge ruled recently that Delta and other airlines couldn’t require masks for the public health of our citizens. Right now, Covid is on a hiatus of sorts, but it is also considered likely that other variants will come into play, so that decision may just end up causing even more deaths than we have already had, and we have had almost a million already.
So Republicans, don’t try to tell me that we have a problem with “liberal activist Judges” in this country. What we have is a group of judges trying to make this country a better, more honest (to the Constitution) country and a bunch of conservatives trying to destroy every gain made.
That’s the real problem!~~~~
