In my not so humble opinion, the right in this country has lost their ever-loving minds
Ok, now I have said before that I am happy as I can be that Biden has won this election. I have also said that I don’t think, for one minute, he is the man that would make the BIG changes that I want in this country. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that he will be 100 times better than the monstrous bragging con-man presently sitting in the White House. I would have preferred Bernie or Elizabeth. Now, THEY would have worked toward more serious changes in how this country operates. More especially, they would have fought to allow the common citizen to have some dignity back instead of giving billions in bail-outs to corporations and the fat cats.
But we have what we have…ie Biden. But there are right-wingers screaming that Biden is a communist. Really?? I suppose Obama was also, as far as they are concerned. Once again, if I was disappointed in Obama at all, it was around the changes that he didn’t do. He didn’t close Gitmo, and he seemed to fold some times and allow the Republicans to have their way about wars in the Middle East. He did, however, try to be the President for everybody, regardless of skin color, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, or who one loved. I expect and hope Biden will be a President in Obama’s shoes.
Biden is about as close to being a statesman as anybody that we currently have in the political arena. He has been known to work with both sides of the aisle and, like Obama, has already shown to work with both going forward. Sadly, the Republican leadership was obstinate and refused to work with Obama. Maybe, just maybe, they will follow Biden’s example and work for the country instead of their ill-conceived, and often racist ideological positions. But time will tell.

And yes, I am still, ever since the announcement was finalized over a month again, rejoicing that Biden beat the con-man. Notice my response if you read it. trump is the one that had a “love affair’ with Kim Jong-Un, and actually, in public, indicated that he believed Putin over our intelligence community.
Funny, now that he lost, he is anxious to claim rigging by foreign powers. As usual, he will say anything, even hint at violent resistance, to get his own. Not only am I glad Biden won, but I am also counting the minutes till trump horrible reign is over, and our lives are safer — in addition to not being embarrassed and horrified every day about the gibberish coming out of his mouth/Twitter fingers.
