I am glad you wrote this piece. The only other mention that I have seen was by a right winger's headline on my prior blog site, who, in the 3-4 line blurb said it was something nobody should be worried about with the canary island mention.

Within opening up his page, I knew that it was likely an attack and dismissal, so your article is something that I can actually "get behind.

The thing is that people that dismiss diseases like MonkeyPox, like my "friend" will allways cast it as a "gay disease" and dismiss it. The fact of the matter is that anybody can get it under the correct situation.

Another point that is often missed is that a lot of more diseases are being "stirred up" because of the changes in migration patterns etc. We indeed live on a much smaller planet than we ever have before and all of us need to pay attention, remembering climate change being a thing as well.
