watch out folks, the arrogant crook in the white house setting up to once more shaft the American people
Ok, my thesis is that trump is the most arrogant crook to ever weasel his way into the White House. By comparison, Clinton, who so many were concerned about only got a B J and tried, as most married persons caught committing adultery do, to lie his way out of it. Nixon only covered up a break-in. I think he likely tacitly knew and agreed to that criminal act, but that part was not really proven. And it was a one time event. trump, on the other hand has lied to the American people over and over and over again. He has also tried to make profit for his personal business enterprise from his position in power. He even tried to use the G7 until many congresspersons, including in his own party, told him that was an absolute no-no.
But the latest, which we should have expected, is the pandemic and his apparent determination to make sure he and his buddies make a profit at the expense of the American people and small businesses. Reading the news should give us a good clue as to what he has planned, but in case you haven’t read the right articles, here is a snapshot with background documental from legitimate news sources, rather than trump supporting conspiracy trash media. My sources actually have a reputation and a length of service to uphold unlike the rabble at AmericanThinker and some similar smear campaigns given the title “news media” by those not knowing better.
Individual stimulus: 1200.00 per adult, 500 per child. Might help keep some afloat, rather than “super-charging the economy” by letting everybody have at least one months leeway for paying bills especially if “furloughed” and/or denied unemployment.
Small Business:2nd most in danger, maybe even first However, once again, trump’s administration didn’t do better than Obama even though he personally demonized Obama for the website problems for ACA, there were huge problems with the rollout of the loan system for this group. In addition, things were asked and a point made on issues that everybody was led to believe weren’t important under the current dire situation. Sounds like the administration is making it hard for small business to even take advantage of this aspect of the stimulus.
Large Business: here is where the larceny is very likely to take place. The money involved here is 500 billion dollars. That is a quarter of the stimulus total package. The Democrats in congress, rightly, insisted on a provision that trump personally not use any of this money to benefit his own companies, or his personal friends businesses. They insisted, and got it into the package, the added provision of independent oversight. trump said in his signing notes that he would not adhere to that provision.
As Maya Angelou said, when a person tells you who he or she is, believe them. Well, trump has told us repeatedly that he is a self-centered lying crook with enough arrogance to sink a ship with its weight. If I had a child and the child had a lollipop and happened to be beside trump, I would grab my child immediately in fear that he might just steal the lollipop out of the child’s mouth.
My request to congress is that they do all they can to make sure oversight takes place on this issue and that trump isn’t allowed to use this money as a slush fund for his beloved cohorts and worshipers instead of for the companies that actually need the help. And to the American people I say, stay as informed as you can be and hold congress accountable. The House especially should start new impeachment proceedings if there is any mishandling of this fund. 500 billion is supposed to help the country’s large corporations that actually DO need it as determined by some sort of criteria, not the trump group of crooks.
